SkyBlock - Auctions Update

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the patch notes of the Auctions update. With the v0.1.17 patch notes we said it was "technically back" and we started testing it in the next couple days.

After some testing (thanks to all who participated!) we are finally making it public to everyone. Let's start with the features!

1. Auction Types​

Auction House is a place that players can easily sell items to other players or buy items from another players.

There are two types of auctions:

1. Classic Auction
   This is the well known classic auction type, you create an auction and people bid to it, highest bidder wins at the end of time.
   
   
2. Buy It Now (BIN)
   BIN auctions are pretty simple. You create a BIN auction with the price you want, and someone can instantly buy it with that price.

2. Auctions Catalog Filters​

There are 4 types of filters. You can simply find the items you want with these filters:

• Categories
• Auction type (BIN or Normal)
• Specify item rarity
• Search by item name or description

2.1. Categories​

There are 8 item categories:

1. Blocks
   ex. Stone, Dirt
   
   
2. Weapons
   ex. Swords, Bows
   
   
3. Armors
   ex. Helmets, Chestplates
   
   
4. Consumables
   ex. Foods, Books
   
   
5. Accessories
   ex. Talismans, Rings, Artifacts
   
   
6. Furnitures
   ex. Showcase Block
   
   
7. Tools
   ex. Pickaxes, Shovels, Hoes, Axes
   
   
8. Miscellaneous
   All other items.

2.2. Auction Type​

You can select which auction types you want to view on the catalog. There are 3 options:

• Both
• Only Normal Auctions
• Only BIN

2.3. Item Rarity​

You can select which item rarities you want to view on the catalog. There are 7 options:

• All
• Common
• Uncommon
• Rare
• Epic
• Legendary
• Mythic
• Special

2.4. Search Items​

You can simply search items by their name or some words in their description.

3. Item Sorting​

You can sort the items on the list by 6 criterias:

• Highest bid/price
• Lowest bid/price
• Ending soon
• Most bids
• Highest rarity
• Random

4. Creating an Auction​

You pay some creation fee while creating an auction. The fee can change depending on the item's price/starting bid and the auction's time.

You can view the auctions you created or create a new auction on the Owned Auctions menu.

You can claim the coins that someone bid when your auction ends. If nobody bid on the auction, you can take the item back.

You can also cancel the auction if there are no bidders or it's a BIN auction that still has not been sold.

5. Bidding on an Auction​

You can bid on people's auctions from the auctions catalog or directly from the inspection command (like /auctions iPhyruss.)

Once you bid on a Normal Auction, your coins get removed from your purse and if you get outbid by someone else, you can claim your coins back after the auction ends.

If you win a Normal Auction that you've bid, you can claim your items on the Manage Bids menu.

You can directly buy the item on BIN auctions, so there are no bidding or claiming process in there.

6. Rank Perks​

You can use the Auctions from anywhere with the /auctions command, if you have PVO+ rank or above.

Also you can use /auctions [PlayerName] to check anyone's auctions without needing to be PVO+ or above.

Also, we've removed the existing "No auction taxes" perks from all ranks to avoid doing damage to the game's economy.
